Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Revslip collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you create an account, buy credits, submit websites for analysis, or interact with our billing and integration features.
The service is designed to review websites and produce AI-assisted audit reports. Because that workflow involves account data, submitted URLs, crawl results, and payment events, we limit data use to operating, securing, and improving the service.
Information We Collect
- Account data, including your name, email address, login activity, authentication preferences, and optional security settings such as two-factor authentication.
- Audit data, including the URLs you submit, crawl results, generated findings, screenshots or visual context derived from public pages, and report history associated with your workspace.
- Billing and credit data, including credit balances, purchase history, Stripe customer identifiers, checkout session identifiers, payment intent identifiers, and transaction status.
- Technical and usage data, including device or browser signals, request metadata, logs, and operational diagnostics used to secure the platform and investigate abuse or failures.
How We Use Information
- To authenticate users, maintain accounts, and enforce authorization controls around dashboards, reports, billing, and saved audit history.
- To process credit purchases, reconcile successful Stripe Checkout sessions, issue purchased credits, and respond to payment disputes, refunds, or billing support requests.
- To run read-only website audits, generate AI-assisted recommendations, detect publicly visible integrations, and display report history back to the authorized account owner.
- To measure site performance, understand traffic patterns, and improve messaging, page structure, and conversion flows for the business where analytics or similar measurement is used in accordance with applicable law and consent requirements.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and misuse of the service, including monitoring for suspicious billing, authentication, or automated activity.
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms and Conditions, and protect the rights, safety, and property of Revslip, our users, and third parties.
Cookies And Similar Technologies
Revslip uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality such as sign-in state, security, and user preferences. We may also use analytics or traffic-measurement technologies, subject to applicable consent requirements, to understand how visitors use the site and how the business can improve funnel performance and conversion outcomes.
For more detail about cookie categories, consent choices, and traffic analysis use cases, see the Cookie Policy.
Legal Bases And Compliance
Where applicable, we process personal data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, because we have legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, because you consent to specific optional processing, or because processing is required by law.
If privacy laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar frameworks apply to your use of Revslip, you may request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of eligible personal data, subject to legal exceptions and records we must retain for security, accounting, or compliance purposes.
Stripe And Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. Revslip does not store full payment card numbers or complete card verification data on its own servers. Stripe may provide us with limited billing details and transaction metadata so we can confirm payment status, map a purchase to your account, and support legitimate billing operations.
Your use of Stripe-powered checkout and billing features is also subject to Stripe's terms, privacy practices, and compliance controls. We recommend reviewing Stripe's policies before completing a purchase.
Authorizations You Grant
When you submit a website for audit, you authorize Revslip to access and analyze the public pages and resources reasonably necessary to generate the requested report. You should only submit URLs that you are permitted to review and that can be lawfully accessed by our automated systems.
When you connect or verify a third-party integration through the service, you represent that you are authorized to act for that website, workspace, or account and to request the related checks or billing activity.
Sharing And Service Providers
- We share information with service providers that help us host, authenticate, analyze, support, and bill for the service, including Stripe for payments.
- We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or valid governmental request, or when necessary to detect, investigate, or prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
- We may share information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
Retention And Security
We retain account, audit, and billing records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain report history, document purchased credits, resolve disputes, and comply with security, tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No system is completely secure, and you remain responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and authorized team access.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the legality of the content, domains, and integration identifiers you submit to Revslip, and for ensuring that your use of the service does not violate privacy law, intellectual property rights, contractual restrictions, or third-party platform rules.
If your workspace includes other users, you are responsible for assigning access appropriately and using available security controls, including strong passwords and two-factor authentication where appropriate.
Contact
If you need privacy, compliance, or data-rights support, contact the Revslip team through the support channel or business contact listed for your account. Because legal requests can affect security and other users, we may ask you to verify identity and authorization before acting on a request.
